Just No.

"But she was...
Blinded by the light,
Revved up like a deuce,
Another runner in the night."
Blinded By The Light - Manfred Mann's Earth Band

I know this was suposed to be a blog about Christmas and stuff but that's not as important as what I'm going to write. It won't interest half of you guys cause it's about Taggart but I need to type it.

So up until this morning my holidays have been really good. I've managed to write a three chaptered fic over the course of one week and reopen one of my older sets of one shots What A Certain Guy Does. Apart from last night when I was somewhy taking a staple out of my notebook and I kind of managed to pirce the top of my finger so it's stinging a bit, my life's been pretty good! Then it all came crashing down this morning. Kyle and I hadn't got to bed until 2 in the morning cause we had been watching the X Files so I didn't wake up til quarter to one today "/

It's a custom that on weekends and holidays my mum will leave a drink and the newsapaper on the ledge outside my bedroom just so I can flip through to see if there's anything mentioned about my obsessions and today was no different so I went to the toilet and took the newspaper through to my room before checking my phone for Twitter texts. I opened the paper and as well as the usual Page 3 tart there was an article with a picture of Colin McCredie who plays Stuart in Taggart. Unsurprisingly I got all excited because it's Taggart and I was thinking it might be something about when the next episode was going to be shown but within the first sentance I got scared because it said Colin had been axed. I thought it was going to go into saying something stupid about his character getting suspended or something. But no. Colin has actually been sacked. And that was when the tears started and the tweets.

I've managed to halt them for a while but I don't want to think about what I'll be like tonight when I'm alone in my room. Now don't get me wrong I cried when I read that Taggart may not have been getting recommisioned but that was nothing compared to how I was this morning. And I know he isn't my favourite character (Robbie and Jackie all the way) but it's Stuart. It won't be the same without him and for STV to have the guts to say that his character is getting moved to the fingerprint department and he won't be mentioned again is wrong! I don't know how I'll forgive the channel after this!

And this had to happen the day after I start writing out a fic centred on him. There is no chance my fics are getting rid of him. He'll be part of that team forever! I love you DC Stuart Fraser. I also think I may have broke at least 3 of my tweeps hearts this morning by announcing it but they needed to know!

Rant.

"Sally, take my hand
We'll travel south cross land
Put out the fire
And don't look past my shoulder."
Baba O'Riley - The Who

Well here goes. I don't even see why you would want to read this cause it is gonna be one long rant.

Lets start with my family situation.
My mum and dad both come from families of five kids which means I have a lot of cousins etc. Out of the eight families I'm only in contact with my mum's oldest brother, his wife and their son, and one of my mum's other brothers' widow and that's basically it because there was a big bust up just after I was born with my mum and one of her other brothers so I've saw him about three times in my whole life and now it's coming to the point where her last brother is turning to that side as well. On my dad's side I occasionally see my granny but only about three times a year because my mum doesn't get on with any of that family and I don't know the story behind all this. So one of my dad's brothers' (whom we used to get on with) sons just had a baby and we got a phone call two days after telling us that he was called Murray and that's it.

I've grown up with my mum constantly making fun of most of my aunts and uncles so now that I'm older she lets me join in and when we received a present from my granny me and my mum went into hysterics because we know by the shape that it isn't the customary box of Cadbury's Biscuit Selection things, and we're at the moment trying to persuade my dad to let us open it to see. Unsurprisingly these arguments between my family are some of the first things I can remember from being a kid and I have been unwillingly been brought into them over the past couple of years, and yeah it probably has fucked me up well and truly but even though me and my mum don't always get on I can't imagine what my life would be like if we did have the whole happy family thing going on.

Moving on to my ex-friend.
Right you probably all remember when I used to moan about my paper round every Friday and how the girl (Sara) I did it with was a complete bitch, and now how I'm much happier after quitting it. She has now turned into a psycho and her mother has always been one. My mum was on the phone to her mum and apparently Sara is being allowed to go by herself into Edinburgh to meet this guy she's been talking to on MSN and then go to Leith WaterWorld with him. Is it just me who thinks their parents may try to stop them or in the least go with them?! And now I'm probably being slightly hypocritical because I've spoke to people on the internet and I would go and meet Helen if I had the chance but that's different because I trust that she is who she says she is whereas Sara has only ever saw this guys display picture "/ And she isn't going to school anymore but is still being allowed to go for sleepovers and get pissed with her mates. I'm a tad confused as to why she is being granted these privileges.

Okay let's do some happy/random me-ish things.
I was watching Six Days and Seven Nights that has Harrison Ford and David Schwimmer in it last night and I managed to scratch myself again with my cushy. It didn't puncture the skin this time which is a bonus but still stung like a bitch.

I had spent ages reading the 400 pages of Candlemoth by R.J Ellory and after skimming through the middle 150 pages I finally finished it on Tuesday night. And I had bought Digital Fortress by Dan Brown on Friday so I had begun it on the bus home and then continued to read yesterday and finished the 500 pages, which proves that Candlemoth was one crap book.

Waiting for two o'clock so that I can see Lauren and get my poster that she had ordered me :) And also can't wait for 9 o'clock tonight for Taggart!!

Next blog will be in a couple of days, going into details of Taggart and the presents I've got for Christmas. Now away to work on fanfiction that I had a craving to write.

Love and Hugs.

One pointless day.

"This is not what I intended

I always swore to you I'd never fall apart

You always thought that I was stronger
I may have failed but I have loved you from the start"

Fall For You - Secondhand Serenade

Yes I heart Secondhand Serenade far too much. John Vesely is awesome though! His lyrics are so cute and the simplicity of acoustic guitar, a little piano and his voice is incredible! <3

Thought I was going to be killed this morning because I found out that Fiddle Group concert rehearsals were first period when I was supposed to have a [failed] French writing exam so I went to see Miss Coquerelle but she was really nice about it and said that I'll do it after the holidays even though it won't make a difference to my grade.
All in all I missed French, Biology and Geography today. Couldn't have picked a better three myself. But orchestra sounds quite awful and the concert is tomorrow "/ There are only 13 of us, it just doesn't work!

Mr Macdonald's Christmas Thingmy is next Monday so the art department want Holly and I this year again. But Holly has suspected swine flu and has been off so if she isn't here then Sarah will take her place.

Today's Maths lesson...Oh Maths. Well the tables had been rearranged so I was still sitting next to Sarah but I also got the pleasure of having Lauren on the other side and David in front. Now, if you have any idea what Mr Saffhill's maths classes are like then it will be no surprise that when it got to the point of no work actually being done I said "I've not ripped any paper out off this jotter yet" and David and Lauren told me to open the centre pages and take a couple out. I failed to rip properly so they took over and the two pages ended up in about 7 different bits which we scrunched up and started throwing at each other, saying that it was snowballs. It was EPIC!

Then we got onto the topic of Lily Allen somehow and David asked if either of us put on strong London accents when we sing along to her and did a [very good] impression of her which caused me and Lauren to start laughing and then David randomly burst out singing "I spent ages giving head" which was completely beyond our control and even Saffo was wondering why we were crying with laughter.
My Maths report is going to be someone else's copy and pasted apparently. I wanted a personalized one!!

My lunch times seem to get better every time because now Lauren has reserved the seat next to me so we can have Taggart chats and such like and nearly shouted at Briege when she was about to pull the seat out for herself! I love you girl! And by the way in response to our Maths chat about your upcoming [awesome] Taggart fanfic idea I don't mean to take over but you so should make it so that the one-night stands 'situation' is lied about just like I mentioned. True enough that's probably because there are so many fluff possibilities and it's me so what do you think I'll suggest :) It will be great no matter what you choose to do so ignore me by all means if you think it won't work as well!

Should be getting X Files collectors boxset on Friday, it's what me and Kyle want for our Christmas so my mum knows that we adore it and is willing to get us it.

On Saturday Lauren and I, and also Holly if she's well enough, are going to see St Trinians 2 yay!! David Tennant and Colin Firth in one movie :D

Mostly yesterday

Midway through work experience!
Cornbank is awesome to work at. Today I got to do sponge printing with the P2's and got to listen to what they want for Christmas - is it sad that I also want Lego Indiana Jones 2 the game, just the same as half the kids?! Before the school started Mrs Baxter, whose class I was working in today, said that I could come along to nativity rehersals after lunch but when I saw her then she said that I was to help Lorraine and Lesley [teaching assistants] make costumes for it. Sounds quite crap but actually enjoyed myself because they let me make head-dresses for the "wind".

Yesterday it was Peni High's netball game against Newbattle and I had been asked to go for moral support and ended up being appointed to Creative Director so sometime tonight I have to make a banner for us versus Carlisle. We won 14-4 even they had proper sporting uniforms and we were all wearing t-shirts and joggers.

Then it was the Girl Guides Christmas Service which me and Christy went along to just so we could see Lauren acting. We were going to sit up high so we could see Lauren getting changed but she forced us to move so we tried to find a different way back down and ended up sure that we could see Narnia in this pitch black staircase. We were hysterical the whole way through it and Christy made it worse when the minister was saying the final prayer and he said "Thank God for all the little girls" which she took to mean that he was a paedophile :L Then Lauren and I chummed Christy to the bus stop and went for a little wander while listening to Send Me On My Way and Nick Jonas + The Administration! We stood outside my house for ages and then I finally went in and my dad arrived a few seconds later and asked if Laurenn might want a lift home so we drove and found her round the corner. Then I got home, watched Paradox <3, and went to my bed.

Now I'm going to do my usual and try to write come fanfiction, then Waterloo Road which may be a little weird after working in a school for three days "/ then it starts all over again.

Love and hugs.

Over And Out.

Well Spent Day

Here's an account of my day.
Woke up and spent about half an hour on my phone's internet before getting changed.
Got to school, complained to my non-interested friends about the ending of 'The Gift' by Cecelia Ahern then into a conversation about movies which have made me cry.
First period: English. Watched the same part of Chocolat that I have now watched three times in one week. Sounds extreme but it has Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche so it balances out. Johnny Depp *drool* in it to me looks like a kind of fit gay pirate :P
Second period: PSE. Waste of time. Found out that I'm apparently a "visual learner" but I'm not so it lied. Then had to fill in this thing saying what I pledge to do for Eco-fortnight for Ms McFadyen. She'll probably guess which Lee wrote it since my answer was "to live in the dark". Then played noughts and crosses with Sarah, James and Bethan.
Third period: Maths. I think I may have numbed Lauren into a state of no return with my talk about Taggart. At least she now knows what is included in Wages Of Sin *swoons*
Fourth period: Geography. The most pointless yet. A geography quiz in which my group won some chocolate and then a general knowledge quiz which wass taking up with football realted crap so my group failed since we're all geeks :L

Then after school;
Settled down to finish my songfic but failed when I read a message from Kim/Minbus on FF sending me a link to a TV forum board which I haven't really been off all day cause it is awesome, I can basically find at least one person who has the same shipping tendencies as me on this: Ed/Adelaide, Mulder/Scully, Boyd/Grace... I love it muchy!!
And lo-and-behold I have not really been working on my fic since this discovery, I'll try and do some now!

Bye. signing out message: my day was simply spent watching Johnny Depp then looking at Peter O'Brien pictures. Yum.
