Oddness

Popular! You're gonna be popular!
I'll teach you the propper ploys, when you talk to boys,
Little ways to flirt and flounce, ooh!
I'll show you what shoes to wear! How to fix your hair!
Everything that really counts to be...
Popular - Wicked Soundtrack

Midlothian Youth Orchestra last night: yet another two wasted hours of my life that I shall never get back. At least in the past we've had things like the Popular soundtrack and stuff but no. We have to play stupid Scottish music since our Corn Exchange concert is on St Andrews Day!

French was awfully strange today. Miss Coquerelle said she would "show her teeth" if we didn't do her homework and actually growled! She still doesn't want to give me a 1 for my target grade, even though we both know that I can do it. I have to learn a poem in French by tomorrow and translate it, I really should have started earlier in the week.

Biology is different now since we don't have Mrs McFadyen any more. Not sure if it's a good kinda different, Miss Wotherspoon is nice and she can be a good laugh but it's just not the same.

We spent half of Geography doing absolutely nothing as usual but I am 1 of 6 people who don't have to go to the revision classes after school.

Lauren and I are still singing Perfect by Fairground Attraction far too much but tis great.

I was chatting to one of my friends in Geography the other day and she said that she finds it sick that one of her other friends fancied a celebrity, because he is about 50. I'm choosing not to inform her that the celebrity I fancy is 53 in just under one month, but who cares about age when it's John Michie :P

Short Account of Today

I don't want half-hearted love affairs,
I need someone who really cares
Life is too short to play silly games
I've promised myself, I won't do that again.

Perfect by Fairground Attraction

Yes my blogs from now on will all probably start with lyrics to what I'm listening to at the specific time.

Well today was fun (note the sarcasm guys). All the girls in fourth year got a shock when we found out we had our HPV vaccines today. My arm is still throbbing! Was fun making up Kirsty's plan to unbutton her top sexily though (yes she came up with the plan!)

It got better at lunch when Lauren and I heard Perfect by Fairground Attraction on the TV, we randomly started singing :)

Went to Tesco about an hour ago and bought Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, even though I have far too many DVDs this looks good. One day soon I'll have to go through my collection and get rid of some like Charlie's Angels and Rumour Has It; I've grown bored of them.

I should probably concentrate on writing essays for English and such like instead of writing fanfic, but tis too tempting! Especially when I have 600 words so far on a new one shot that I like. And for anyone who reads my stuff there will only be a maximum of 2 more chapters of What A Certain Guy Does because I don't like all the other promts and Growing Up will be discontinued after the next chapter!

Will have to have shower and watch Waking The Dead tonight! I don't care how crappy Waking The Dead is, I still have to watch it; it intrigues me!

Fanfic dude!

Okay so here's the full conversation between me and some guy on fanfiction, that I have never spoke to before or read anything by.

Yoshino in the Moonlight2: Subject: Ideas related to fan-fiction...
Hello there? You seem to be a fan-fiction writer from the U.K., and well, Iwant to tell you that I have several ideas related to fan-fiction, and Iwonder if you would like to discuss with me about these ideas. I just want toshare these ideas with someone, and perhaps you could give me some additionalthoughts about these ideas. I also wonder if you take fan-fiction seriously, or if you don't really carethat much for it.

AlternativeRocker: Hi, I was just wondering, why don't you think I take fanfiction seriously? You have been on the site for about the same amount of time I have, and you have only wrote three fics whereas I have wrote twenty! And when I read the first part of your message I was actually looking forward to discussing ideas with you, but I'm quite annoyed by your last sentence. Please reply soon with some answers.

Yoshino in the Moonlight2: I actually have two ideas. First, I wonder what you think of the idea of a discussion forum about fan-works and fan-culture in general, to discuss about anything made by fans (mainly, fanfiction and fanart, of course). I have seen plenty of forums for fans of a show or movie or book, but I have never seen one for fans of fan-fiction and fan-art itself. What do you think of this idea?

AlternativeRocker: Can you just tell me why you think I don't take my fanfiction seriously first?

Yoshino in the Moonlight2: "Can you just tell me why you think I don't take my fanfiction seriously first?" I never wrote that. I was just asking whether you did or not.So, what do you think of my idea?

Now that I read over it, I now believe that I may have been wrong in calling him evil, but it was just the fact that I was quite probably annoyed on that particular day for some reason or other ;)

Nothingness

"Since Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, way before Nirvana,
There was U2 and Blondie and music still on MTV."
1985 - Bowling For Soup

^ Song I'm listening to just now ^

Well I was going to post a blog tomorrow but since I don't have to do my paper round tonight, i felt like writing something.

I've just realised I have nothing remotly interesting to say so here goes...

Lauren and I have been having terribly random conversations in our Maths lessons about everything from Twitter to Nate, her new boyfriend *laughs* and then at the end of the lessons we speak to David about their Poptart children haha!

Decided that between now and Christmas I have got two different cinema trips planned for Cirque Du Freak and New Moon, I'll have to buy Ghosts of Girfriends Past 'cause it looks good, and obviously the 25th anniversary collection of Taggart because it has all the episodes I really want to watch! Oh and I've got to write a lot of fanfic to get the Taggart archive up to 75 before Christmas; at 46 just now!

I've finally published the start of my 20th Taggart fic To Have and To Hold and Helen doesn't like me because I won't tell her what's going to happen!

I have completely forgotten to put this in previous blogs but a couple of weeks back I was reading The Sun newspaper and there was a big article about the new advertising rules for TV shows, and they had random pictures from shows that had been added to with different products that are now allowed to be shown. And one of them was a edited Taggart shot. It was from Lifeline (yes I am sad enough to know exactly which episode the still was from) and it was Jackie by herself in her flat. And the [cruel] people in the papers had put a pair of pink, fluffy handcuffs into it, just like I had put into my fic, Twelve Postcards For Twelve Months. I nearly squealed when I saw it!

Away to do something or other, speak to people on Twitter and get even more bored. This was an exceptionally small blog, I know. Bye.

My FanFiction Revealed

Well last night was the first time I've known every emotion (apart from anger) to be present in my body at the same time, because my friends in my 'real world' now know the URL for my FanFiction.net account.

I started to read fanfiction about a year and a half ago, with Casualty 'cause Maggie and Charlie were so cute together and there was a forum link to FanFiction.net and then I read stuff for Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Indiana Jones, Princess Diaries + Love Actually. It was around about this time that my Taggart obsession kicked in (I previously liked the show but that grew into what it's like now) and I realised the only stories (which were on a different site) I could find were for Robbie/Michael which I just felt literally sick at, so I felt a need to change that...

So I wrote my first story on the 5th September 2008. It was called Moving and it was for the lovely Robbie/Jackie pairing which I am still majorly addicted to. I never in a million years thought I would be willing to share my stories with people in my personal life, true enough I also never thought I'd meet one of the greatest people I know through it (Helen you rock my world!)

Over the past year and couple of weeks I have grown to be obsessed with the fanfiction world and could not imagine what life would be like without it. I love how there is such a great range of ideas even just for one show. If anyone took fanfiction away from me just now then I don't know how I could survive, and I'm truthfully not exaggerating; it means everything to me.

Maybe if you ask me in a year's time then my opinion will have changed but I still hope to be writing fics and reading brilliant ones curteousy of the wonderful writers on the site *cough* Helen *cough*

Don't get me wrong, I have always been proud of (some of) my stories on the site but I just couldn't have imagined what my friends would think of it if they read quite a bit of it.

So far I have wrote 19 fics, 16 of which are on Taggart, 2 are The Mentalist and 1 is for Princess Diaries (I now can't be bothered which this fandom, so I probably won't be writing more for it) I have my 20th one in the early stages, it will of course be a Taggart one and I have no idea if it will be an incredibly long one-shot or a chapter fic so watch this space.

Hey if anything, my fanfiction has inspired more people to write and we know have 42 Taggart fics on the site, with an ambition to have 75 up by Christmas.

The New Failed Cinema Trip

Here's a long blog to make up for the little one yesterday.

Today was supposed to be one of the best days ever; it was Lori's birthday party and we were going to China China and then to the cinema to see District 9.

It went from bad to good to worse really. We had decided yesterday to meet at the High School, none of us even suspecting that the road would be closed because of some parade or other, while Cameron had phoned Jonathan saying there had been someone stabbed and the main road in Penicuik was closed to all traffic including buses we asked a policeman and it was proven to be a lie.

Then we got to the bus stop and the space in the railing where people are supposed to get on the buses from was blocked by a stupid guy in a car. We got annoyed and suggested scratching his car when the bus appeared but then he drove off so we got on.

The bus journey was extremely fun. Lori got her iPod out and gave me a headphone. We went through her music playing all the cheesey songs like I Will Survive, I Am the One and Only, The Las Ketchup Song etc. I think the other passengers may have thought we had serious problems...They would be correct in this accusation. We also took pictures (look on Facebook) while on it and even one of a police officer 'cause he just randomly walked down the strret when I had my phone out.

The meal was really good, the ice cream was ice creamy lovlieness! We put my dark blonde and purple hair extensions in while we waited for our drinks to arrive, and £2.10 for a glass of Coke: are they taking the piss?!

Then the disaster happened: we went to the cinema in the Omni centre. The three boys (Jonathan, Kevin + Nathan) are all seventeen and they went up first to buy the tickets for themselves for the movie which is a 15. They got IDed so I, who is only 14, had no hope in hell of getting in. And surprise, surprise, I didn't. So Lori chose to go downstairs and buy me a ticket with her ID since she turned 15 yesterday. It worked, up until Jonathan handed over his ticket. A stupid woman with long hair asked who all had picture ID in our group, we told her that Emma and I didn't, the woman then goes "Well I can't let you two go in, so I'll let you have some time to discuss your options." Kevin and I came up with quite a few plans on how to annoy her, like covering her hair in popcorn and such like.

Lori and Jonathan phoned their mum for help and she suggested going to Fountain Park because she didn't think they asked for ID. We weren't so sure, so we wasted about half an hour wondering whether to go there or not. We decided on the latter because we wouldn't have enough time if Emma had to be back for half eight.

The bus journey back was terrible! We were all split up and I had to sit next to and old woman who kept going into her bag for life and pulling out bigger after bigger newspapers, and whenever she had to turn the page she would elbow me. So by the time I got to Penicuik I had about two thirds of my body floating in mid-air.

Now I'm back home, writing Robbie + Jackie fanfic as normal and on Twitter agreeing that Helen's Ewan should not be removed unless it's for a great reason! I now have lots of song fic ideas for the said couple because of listening to Hero and I Just Called To Say I Love You! But they won't be written for a long time.

Bye bye. Speak to you on Twitter or whatever ;)

In Pyjama Blog

Yes I am in my pyjamas at half past six!

Dunfermline shopping trip was actually quite rubbish, I began to get ignored about an hour into it by the so called 'friend' that I do my paper round with. But I did buy quite a nice dress thing out of Primark and my mum's friend who I have known for my whole life bought me a belt as part of my Christmas present and let me have it today :) I plan to wear both to Lori's birthday tomorrow.

I'm completely bored just now! Mum has Come Dine With Me on, which is one good point 'cause that show is goood!

Why can I not remember any of my Robbie/Jackie dreams any more. I know I have them but I have forgot them within two minutes of opening my eyes in the morning :( I miss mornings with them. They are also much better than moving down my bed while dreaming that I am falling, the problem is I am actually awake when this happens. It occurs about three times a week and I hate it; it's bloody terrifying!

Wooo now on to writing some of "Two Different Weekends", if you recall the naughtiness of "Undercovers" then multiply that by about 100 and add in strip poker and you might be getting on the right track! Will have it up sometime during this long weekend. And why do people want to encourage this and my fluffy writing, it shouldn't be allowed to grow, don't people get tired/annoyed of it?

My house's living room is actually turning into my dream room. It has red sofas, black and silver wallpaper on one wall, black curtains, pretty flowers and my mum is planning on getting black blinds as well!! I might go and grab my Jack Skellington cushy [cushion in normal people terms] from the other sofa :)

I know it's been a short blog but I will make a blog about Lori's party along with pictures for Helen whenever I have time in the next couple of days.

Late Introduction

I know I posted one only about an hour ago but I feel as though I should introuce myself more thoroughly.

I'm Lee, I'm a 14 year old teenage girl from the slightly pathetic town of Penicuik, near Edinburgh, in Scotland, in the UK, on the Earth. I am on the internet far too much, my 13 year old brother Kyle actually banned me from going on his laptop and changed the password to make sure. That also sums my relationship with Kyle, we argue, then we laugh and then we make fun of each other and their DVD collections.

I go to Penicuik High School, 4th year is actually going okay apart from the whole exams looming thing but still. Most of my teachers think I'm completely mad which may be true. I'm one of the few people who does enjoy Physics. I really don't like French, I can do it but I just find it quite boring. English is horrible but I have to take in 5th year with the course I'm doing :(

On to my friends now. There's Sarah, it is impossible to hate her, she lets me copy most of her work/homework because she knows I can do it and that I just can't be bothered. We are completely different; she likes sport while I like art etc. Holly is great, our personalities are so alike that it's quite scary. Lori is just so funny and we make fun of a certain Biology teacher all the time. Kathryn is my awesome other half on Bebo and although we are now only in Geography together, we still are great with each other. Others include my maths buddy Lauren, Physics friend James, Kirsty and Catlin and my Twitter and blog buddy David, basically everyone who I willingly speak to could be addded to this list :) Also Helen who you will learn about in the next paragraph.

I have been a member of fanfiction.net for just over a year, I was the first person to publish a story for Taggart, closely followed by Bethany who has now become a great friend. Then Helen came along and we just clicked. We now both review each others work no matter how good (all Helen's) or how bad (a few of mine) the chapter or one shot is. I then joined Twitter because I read that Peter Facinelli had it (he's one of my many gods!) and somehow found Helen on it and we message each other quite alot on it, we're also Bebo and Facebook friends :).

I'm obsessed with Taggart [TV show] as you may/may not know. I love the cases, characters and... Robbie and Jackie love! Yeah 16 out of 19 of my fics are about them and I made a fanvid for them and possibly saddest of all I have a playlist on my iPod of songs which remind me of them :) and I nearly forgot about my Facebook group haha. So you know do not get me into conversations about this couple because it will never end, or a conversation about John Michie *smiles devilishly* he's yummy in my opinion, and his voice is owned by Helen, Bethany and I because it's sexy. And once I had to give up on doing homework because I could hear his commentary on Big, Bigger, Biggest :P

Blah, blah, blah I know! Anyway enough of this, see ya's later!
Luv luv.

The Big [Torture] Day

Well hello again.

Just got home from school after having the worst Big Day that Penicuik High has probably ever thought of. It started by us going into house groups, I was the only 4th year in my group, and we had to first do some logic and maths puzzles then building a tower so that when a 6th year dropped an egg it wouldn't break. Could someone please tell me the point of this?! If you wish to see our tower then there are a couple of pictures on my Facebook.

Then it was our version of It's A Knockout. Hannah and I refused to take part in most of the activites (come on; the sack race and the wheelbarrow race!) so Mrs Schwartz nearly killed us, how can a tiny woman like her be scary?! What was entertaining though was Ms Redford doing the sack race and Miss Fleming doing the piggyback race, oh how we laughed!I just kept shouting over to Sarah that I hated it and asking if I could join her group so we could both have someone to talk to but Hannah pleaded with me to stay in her group so I did.

We got to choose a sprt activity after that so Holly and I chose to go on the dance mats, that was very fun though and watching Miss Adamson jumping around, not having a clue what she was doing was good.

The sponsered walk this year was longer but still the best part of the day, followed closely by the dancemats. Mrs McFadyen had made a Scavenger Hunt sheet for each class to do, that was also pointless. Then the path got quite muddy so I will have to put my Converse in the wash like last year. Had to keep waiting for James because Sarah ran on ahead as usual :) Ms Redford also ran away from me because I randomly said "I'm a dinosaur, rar!" when I was walking behind her.

Anyway enough about The Big Day...
Might be going to Dunfermline for shopping tomorrow then Lori's birthday party on Saturday! And I don't have to do my papers either tomorrow, I'm a happy child now! Hoping to have new chapter of some FanFic related story up this weekend.

Physics Panda and other randomness

For those who don't know, I'm Lee and I can get extremely hyper. Decided to write this, eventually, after reading the awesome ones written by Helen, Lauren and David.

I had homework for every subject today apart from Physics because we never get any for that so basically I was thankful for the extended morning break so I could do some of it then. And having the symptons of a really bad cold does not help acheive these tasks. Definately failed my plants test in Biology, it was confusing.

Well for the Physics lessons that I've had for the past two days, we have had a panda in our classroom. Okay, it's a soft toy but I got very protective over it especially when Ms Redford started tying cables round it's neck and body, saying they were "seatbelts". I started shouting "No!" then tried to smuggle him out of the class, it didn't work! And apparently we're not allowed him back in the class because he's a distraction and he is needed to answer the phones in the Science staff base when no one else is around.

People are starting to comment on how much my brother and I look alike, we do but I still don't like people saying it.

Yesterday was my first time at the netball club in the school and even though I hate PE normally, it was actually quite fun; still undecided whether to go next week or not.

The Eco-Schools barbecue last night, oh gosh where do I start with that?! I'm still trying to work out why I joined the group never mind how I got the level 2 John Muir award! My old Biology teacher Mrs McFadyen (who always unintentionally makes an idiot of herself) and her husband were there which made things horrible because Lori and I are always making fun of their relatonship so I tried to stay away from both of them for the whole evening, that failed as well. Apparently neither of them drinks at all which is untrue because she told us that he would get drunk all the time :S My primary school head teacher and deputy head were there although they didn't know who I was until I got presented with my certificate.

My lovely parents went to Dalkeith today and got me my pre-ordered copy of Dan Brown's new book The Lost Symbol, can't wait to start reading it but I'm in the middle of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and The Picture of Dorian Gray so I don't kow when I'll start.

Now I'm listening to 21st Century Breakdown album while trying to think of what to put into some of my in progress fan fics and catching up on The Mentalist archives because I haven't read them in so long.

Next blog will be a rant about my school's "Big Day" including the sponsered walk and other fun things like that tomorrow :(
